So I’m in Berlin right now, sitting in my hotel room typing this up.
When I’m going away there are a few things that I need to check off my list – hydration, small packaging & things I know I won’t react too. I know that a lot of people take the opportunity of a weekend getaway to yank out all those sample sizes and to try out some new products but I’m not one of those.
What did I decide to pack with me?
I’m a firm believer in a deep and often double cleanse! Clinique’s Take The Day Off (that I got in a gift with purchase) in a handy little size with a spill proof bottle that’s just snazzy is great for removing the last bits of stubborn eye makeup. My favourite Boscia Black Detoxifying Cleanser is a great refreshing one to wash the face with in the morning or the night and a little jar of the Oskia Renaissance Gel Cleanser that’s not shown here for a little luxury pamper.
Clarin’s Bi-Phase Hydrating serum works wonders on parched post flight skin and feels like a real treat – this one is a little one that I got as part of a trial kit. The Origin’s GinZing Eye Cream is both illuminating, to make up for those long late nights and early mornings, and moisturising without being too heavy. I just chucked which ever moisturiser I had on hand, this time it’s the La Roche Posay Hydrane Leger which is nice and light.
SPF is a must, always – this one is by LRP again and is nice with a slight matte finish to the skin. For some extra treats I’ve got a little jar of Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and the Korres Brightening Rose Mask (not shown here). The real treat though? Clarin’s Beauty Flash Balm! You can use this as a primer or as a mask and the smell? I love it.
