The Wishlist: Sephora

sephora wishlist

So my mother took off to New York for a week and with her went my Sephora VIB card and (quite) a few dollar bills.
I make a few Sephora orders a year (usually around the 15% off VIB sale) or for my birthday as a special treat, but when someone can go there and pick me a few (okay, a lot) of things up? I’m all over that!
With the exchange rate being awesome it gets even better. So what will be in my greedy little hands by next week (when I’ll make the trek to the airport to drive my lovely mother home, with no ulterior motives what-so-ever)? A mix of good-old staples and some new launches I can’t get here with that concealer (I haven’t been able to get my hands on) from left to right.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette in Streak – with every youtuber and blogger I adore speaking about this little fella like it’s the new coming of MAC’s Petticoat I had to grab this , it was a toss-up between this and the Hourglass Ambient Blush but the whole brozer/contour kind of won me over and it’s 5$ cheaper!

Nail’s Inc. Gel Effect Polish in Porchester Square – one of my favourite colours ever I picked up a bottle last October and it’s run out so I’ve jumped on the chance to get a fresh bottle of this grey lilac-y neutral colour that works regardless.

Benefit’s Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep -I had tried this on in Berlin but the counter was out of this shade I loved how it was an easy solution to by brow addiction which is now a 2 or 3 part process consisting of 2 shades of powder and some gel. This? Does that in one fell swoop.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light – I have the ambient lighting palette (it’s back! a dream) and a single Dim Light, the hype around these powders is well founded. These are silky soft and have a blurring effect, but Dim Light is a little too dark for my in the winter (and in the summer if I’ve been avoiding the tan) to use all over my face. Diffused Light is a light yellow toned shade that’s meant to cancel out redness and brighten so it should be exactly what I’m missing.

Nar’s Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla – I hadn’t managed to get my hands on this yet. Sephora will be my saviour! Enough has been said about this product on the internet it’s suppoused to be a great concealer but only time will tell (word is the Maybeline Fit Me is a semi-good dupe and I like that one even if the shades are a little too orange for me) I’m pretty sure it’s going to be love though.

Origin’s Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask – This is one powerful mask, I like to keep it on hand for when I can just feel that my skin is congested. Put this on and then no worries, it’s a little drying so I have to slather my face in some oil post application but it’s all good.

Benefit’s They’re Real Push Up Liner – curiosity got the cat. I need to check this one out, reviews are either “it’s great!” or “it’s crap” but I won’t be able to know less I try so I will. I’ve been all over the feline liner lately so this might be the greatest thing ever for me – or not.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White Rollerball – I love a rollerball, I love the Olsen twins and I love perfume. The White version is meant to be a little more floral and feminine than the Black with peony being one of the main notes. It might be a good one it might be a total flop but the general reviews are good. At 22$ I can handle it.

Sephora Formula X ‘The System’ – A cleanser, basecoat and topcoat from the makers of one of my favourite nailpolish formulas ever? Count me in. I also ran out of my C’n’D Sticky Basecoat.

Origin’s Make a Difference Plus + Rejuvenating Moisturiser – I’m almost out of my rather large stash of french pharmacie facial moisturisers so a new one is right up my street. Suzie of Hello October was raving about this one, and my skin while a little acne prone is mainly dehydrated (hello, it likes to suck out the moister from my foundation! eww.) and I liked the Origins GinZing I had in the winter so why not? I need to see how this works next to the Embrolyss Lait Creme Concentrate which is my HG for pluped skin.

Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in ‘Powersource’ and ‘Standout’ – A poppy punch coral and a natural nude, I don’t need more polishes that’s true but I just love this formula and have been loving Ciate’s coral-red so I might as well check this offering. I’ve also been on the hunt for a good warm based nude (I won’t cave and get the Dior Greige or Safari)  for some more classy-business appropriate nails, what do you mean glitter doesn’t translate as professional?

I know, that’s alot of suff! But then again, how often do I have someone who can shuttle the stuff back with them? My mum s also picking up her favourite Alterna 10-in-1 CC Cream for hair, making my VIB status secure for the next calender year as well (not that I was worried…) I’m considering cashing in my points for some more hourglass primer but might hoard them for one of those 500 point perks for my birthday!

What’s on your Sephora wishlist? Got any recommendations for my next order? I’m think of a big ol’ Tarte & MUFE haul next time… But the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray & Surf Comb mousse may be at the top of my list for a little while now…
