The Tool: Foundation Application

I’m a fan of quick and flawless foundation application, something that doesn’t take too much time in the morning but doesn’t leave me with streaks that I need to blend out after. I like a streamlined routine – blob on, swipe and go.

The two tools I reach for? the beautyblender or the Louise Young Super Foundation Brush.

This first, The Beauty Blender is best for a fuller coverage that doesn’t look heavy, at first it may seem like it takes a long time to apply your foundation with this. It’s also a bit of a hassle with getting it damp, and then applying but after you’ve done it a few times you’ll be a total pro at getting your face on. So the next time you’ve had a rough night, but don’t have a load of time to faff about with you foundation – dampen that sponge, blob you formula of choice on, stick some concealer where it’s needed and get “bouncing”.

The Louise Young Super Foundation brush – I’ve already sung it’s praises (as has the rest of the internet) but this thing? It’s magic.
Getting a full face with it may be hard, the flexible brush really buffs foundation in somehow perfecting your face in a few swipes. It gives a sheer yet natural application with very little effort – if you’ve been having some awesome skin recently reach for a quick once over with this, need a second layer? Go a head this won’t leave streaks or cake up your mug.

quick note: use black friday to get the Louise Young Super Foundation since there will be a discount on BeautyBay.

    • I know! Finding a great brush is more exciting than finding a great product in my opinion. What’s your favourite face brush?
