I’m off to the US for the New Year and there’s nothing more nerve wracking than packing up my makeup. It’s a serious decision; what if I forget my favourite concealer? What If there’s a beauty emergency? I’ve put some serious thought into this, so I’m sharing it. Hope I didn’t forget anything…
I decided to pack my favourite winter base that’s light and easy to wear, with a little of my GA for going out in a little pot. The best concealer in my opinion, I need to mix the two shades to match my skin but Vanilla does double duty for the under eyes. The CT palette is purely amazing, but I need a little boost from the Kevyn Aucoin. Peaches is my go to fool-proof blush.
I went with the best all purpose palette, with a little boost from the Nars palette since I love using Bali & Coconut Grove, the greatest liquid liner ever from Kat Von D and my all time favourite eye primer. The rest are just travel friendly products of minis that I had and like well enough.
I went for a very nude and natural selection of lip products, since I’ve got a little set of Nars lip pencils awaiting my arrival. Brave is the perfect natural pink lips on me, the Lip Glow is a perfect no hassle product that packs a punch of moisture. Nuxe lip balm is the best thing to help rehabilitate flight traumatised lips.
I pack a lot of tools, I have a slight blending brush addiction. These are dirty *shame on me* but I’ll clean them before taking off. Eyeshadow brushes aside, the mini mac brushes are great because of the size. Louise Young is the greatest thing for applying foundation ever and the Charlotte Tilbury makes contour/bronzer/highlight/powder as easy as 1-2-3.
All packed up in my Hudson + Bleecker case.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Everyone!
