The Review: Sephora & Boscia 500 Point Perk

Sephora BOSCIA PORE PURIFYING BLACK MAGIC

Since I’m back, and as expected flooded with school & work tasks, I haven’t had that much time to think about posts. I’m working on a “NYC Haul” but that’ll wait until… I don’t feel like my deadlines are trying to kill me!
I did think that if you are US based and reading this, or heading to the US soon, a quick and short review of the 500 point perk at Sephora would be nice. Here it is!

This set comes with 4 travel or deluxe sample sized products from Bosica’s “Black” range. The sizes are all quite decent, and from experience the little bottle of cleanser lasts for quite  bit of time. In the box you get Pore Purifying Black Strips (1 strip), Detoxifying Black Cleanser (1.0 oz.), Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel (0.5 oz)  and a Luminizing Black Mask (0.7 oz.). I’ve tried 3 out of the 4 by now, and while the cleanser is a bit too much for my sensitive-dyhydrated skin it’s very nice. I’ve had the full size in the past and really enjoyed the “warming” effect it has on the skin upon application. The hydration gel is also nice, best suited for oily to normal skins I would guess since it’s a light moisturiser, spreading the black coloured gel on your face is kind of fun too. The mask is the real “gem”! I’m not sure how many applications are in there but as soon as I tried it on in my hotel room I knew I had to get the full size. It’s a peel off mask that tightens and brightens your skin. It’s a very strong one, and really pulls out/off anything that should be one your face. I wouldn’t use it too frequently but it did a really great job.
Also, you have a really funny face when it’s on for 30 minutes while it dries. I appreciate the comedic value of peel off masks so much.

Is this worth cashing in those hard earned Sephora points? I’ll say yes! However, if you spot an Origins set don’t walk, run. Those are too good to be there for long.
