Products I’ve got Backed Up

DSC_3453I may or may not have a slight… problem. I like to have a spare on hand of my favourites, just to keep calm. What if, god forbid, I run out?!? No need to worry, there’s a drawer with a few spare bits just in case. No need to panic since if I ever squeeze out the last bit of Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, there’s a backup waiting to be opened. So, which products have reached the cannot breathe without status? Let me tell you.Let me start off with the thing that started this “hoarding” issue, La Roche Posay Serozinc. It’s water in a pressurised can, but with just 3 ingredients listed and a long list of race reviews I had to have it. It started off with picking up 3 cans while in Paris, and then progressed to 6 more being picked up by some loving family members. Now I’ve only 4 cans left, and the struggle is real. Then we’ve got the L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara specifically the waterproof version which is my all time favourite of this line, while the regular one is available in my country waterproof hasn’t made it yet and until it does I’ll keep 2 back ups on hand for sanity’s sake. I doubt my love for the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel needs to be explained again, so whenever I spot a good offer on the stuff I go out and get another one it’s not like it’ll ever go to waste.
The Una Brennan Super Facials Vitamin C + Brighten Glow Boost Skin Serum (that’s a long one, eh?) is the result of the usual 3 for 2 offer going on at Boots. Since so little of the stuff is needed, I’ve yet to finish off the first tube and the second one will keep on waiting for me. What will I do when it runs out? I’ll probably be hoarding Sarah Chapman Boosters by then… More on that in a week or so though! More items that made the cut due to the Boots 3 for 2 offer – Soap & Glory’s Hand Maid  a glorious hand sanitiser gel that doesn’t make me want to vomit at the smell of it and the Charles Worthington Salon at Home Texturiser Spray (I’ve spoken about it here) that is a pretty good dupe for the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray and doesn’t make me want to cry every time I spray it in my hair.

Do you have a special little back up drawer? What’s in it?

Miss Manga is the best! The serum is really nice, and give you that boost of glow when skins a little lacklustre but it’s not obnoxious or anything. I highly recommend it!

  • I really want to try Serozinc but we don’t have it here in the US :/ That’s another product on my list to purchase when I go to Europe this summer 🙂

I always stock up on it when in Europe (Paris specifically) it’s so cheap at 5 euro’s a bottle that picking up a few is never a hardship and it’s always worth it!

  • I really need to try the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and Miss Manga Mascara! I’m on the lookout for a gentle, nourishing morning cleanser and it looks like the Oskia fits the bill. It’s a bit of the pricey side however so I’m holding out for now. I found Serozinc to be quite indistinguishable from my beloved Avene Thermal Spring Water. I’ve got two backups of the Avene ready to be utilised once I run out of my existing can :p

The Oskia is pricey but it’s so worth it! It’s like a comforting hug in the morning (right before I slap my face with cold water). I found that the Avene Thermal Spring Water didn’t calm down the redness in my skin as well as the Serozinc, but that just goes to show you that skincare is oh so personal!
