Sundays post will detail the damage I’ve done during March, and what a better way to soften the blow than compiling a wishlist? Nothing I tell you. But with the total of last month’s spending possessing such high digits I’ve set my sights on lower priced pastures. Here are 13 bits that won’t break the bank, but are just as good as the ones that do.
Let’s start off with the John Frieda Beach Blonde range, which has been brought back from where discontinued beauty products go and is now back in our lives. The name is a bit misleading, true, but you do not have to be blonde to enjoy this. I repeat it is not for blonde haired ladies only. I remember the original line and how awesome it was, I simply cannot wait to order the entire line now. There’s the Purifying Shampoo, Detangling Conditioner, a Kelp Deep Conditioning Mask and my all time favourite – a Sea Salt Spray. John Frieda maintain that it’s about a beach blonde attitude of having fun in the sun, with carefree cool beachy hair. Count me in.
Then as with every wishlist, there’re Lisa Eldridge inspired products – the Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Bullet Proof Beige was used in a video a while back. In a more recent upload she used the Rimmel Good to Glow Highlighter in Soho Glow for an easy sun kissed look. Viviana Does Makeup spoke about the Nottinghill Glow shade from the range that looks to be a good one too.
The there’s a gloss, because for me the upcoming summer season requires some juicy glossy lips. The Tanya Burr Lips & Nails gloss in Picnic in the Park seems spot on to me and all reports about the formula tout it as non-sticky. Also, Tanya’s lips are like woah. I’ve been eyeing the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk, it’s a good change from the usual bronze tones but still nice and easy to wear. Bourjois’ new release the Rouge Edition Aqua Lips have been getting some good reviews online so why not check them out? A glossy lip can do no wrong with the thermostat climbing. Because I do not tan on my face, as all the SPF resides there, the Chanel Tan de Soliel alert native aka the Bronzing Primer will be a welcome edition to my routine.
Last of all the body. Heat means shorter clothes so it’s time to moisturise those limbs – the Burt’s Bees Vitamin E Oil looks promising and can also be used in the bath for some downtime. The Yes to Carrots Intense Body Butter may be a solution to those super dry spots. Yes elbows I’m looking at you.
I’m going to keep this as a wishlist for now – but I’ll be keeping these in mind for my next online order or walk in the drugstore.
