Nail polish is kind of tricky, sure you’ve got some awesome lower-priced brands like Bourjois and Maybelline, but in the slightly more expensive category it can be a bit of a hit and miss. Yes Chanel, I’m looking at you. But recently we’ve been seeing more and more nail centred brands that aren’t for pros – but rather with carefully curated polish shades made for your everyday beauty lover. If the title didn’t already tell you this – I’ve been loving Nails Inc for a while now.It all started with one shade – you guessed it right, Porchester Square. The perfect mauve-grey neutral that didn’t leave my hands sickly or ashy looking. Currently it’s the only one from the line that I still own in the “old” packaging. It was one of the first gel formulas I tried, but while it applied better than most polishes I’d tried to date it was truly the colour that captured me. It’s a bit of a them with them really – I can trust that the formula will always be ace but it’s likely that those shades that are so different to what’s out there that’ll make me shell out the rather high price tag.
Overall, whenever there’s been this one colour I’ve been dreaming of Nails Inc has had the perfect offering – be it a deep, dark forest green that took form in Burton Mews, or a perfect shade of opaque light pink that their collab with Victoria Beckham provided any release they offer is spot on.
So far I haven’t sampled that much from the line – I’m eyeing up the topcoat next, along with some poppy pink shade, but the NailKale base coat has had me over joyed. Three coats is what I go for with any nail polish, and these with a topcoat and a base last a good week (if I don’t butcher them doing the dishes too much). Awesome shades, a great formula and a brand that simply works? Count me in.
So yes, I really really like Nails Inc – what about you? Tried any of their products? Got a favourite nail polish brand?
