The Haul: March

march haulI know, I know – Why am I posting a Haul from March in May? Well, things took quite a bit of time to get here in the mail. March was a pretty hard month, I was tempted by quite a few bits. ByTerry launched in FeelUnique, I was lucky enough to have my mum in the US, Louise Young brushes happened and… My bank balance was not happy despite me being very much so.So what did I get? The aforementioned brushes that I’ve already posted about from Louise Young. Specifically the Mini Super Foundation Brush, an Angled Brow Brush that Claire Marshall mentioned and a super fine Tapered Shadow Brush. You can find my thoughts on them here.
The Radical Skincare Skin Perfecting Screen SPF30 was picked up after seeing it featured on thatgracegirl – Grace shares many of my own skin concerns and her posts are always spot on (get it?).
I splurged on the ByTerry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder when FeelUnique launched By Terry on the site, it came with a baby version of it too but more on my miniature sized product obsession at a later date.
Then the naughtiness continued – a good friend came home for Passover from Germany and I asked if she would pick up a Diptyque candle for me. She did! Geranium Rosa was the one, I’d originally wanted Gardenia but they were out so Geranium Rosa it is. It’s a gorgeous white floral scent that’s nice and fresh for the upcoming season. In a mad rush to have the original Laura Mercier Silk Creme in my hands before it was taken off the shelves and replaced with the reformulation, I ordered it from amazon. I got the Soft Ivory shade which is a smidge too light for me right now, what with there being sun outside, so I need to mix it but otherwise? I’m scared of running out.
Lastly, my mum was in the US on a business jaunt and picked up the Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer, and a few extra Miss Manga Waterproof mascaras for me.

Oh, and then while picking up my prescriptions I caved and picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama gel. It’s awesome, and the medium shade is perfect for me when I’m on a light brow kinda day. It’s got enough hold that the caterpillars I’m growing out are under control but not crunchy.

So, what have you been ordering online or buying in store lately? Tempt me!

(in the picture but not clear is my new vase that I picked up, does that count too?)

The Silk Creme is said to be one of the best foundations out there! They’ve reformulated it but I managed to get the old formula (and was too curious to know what it was like to get the new.)
I’m happy to hear that you enjoy the photographs – I put a lot of time into them!
Thanks for leaving a comment XO

  • I really want to try some of the Louise Young brushes!

Do try them – you won’t regret it!

  • So upset that the laura mercier foundation is going to replaced with another formula, I truly hope it will be very similar because I was wanting to get it recently! Lovely haul 🙂

      Thank you 🙂
I’ve heard that the oil free version is most similar to the original formula.

  • Of course the vase counts! I want to try the Maybelline brow gel, see how it compares to my much loved L’Oreal brow gel.

It’s a very nice vase! From what I’ve heard the L’Oreal brow plumper is superior to the Maybelline, but it’s so cheap you can definitely check it out with 🙂

  • The other day I bought Miss Manga mascara and I am excited to try it 🙂

Such a good mascara! I really love it – not that curling but really nice volume and length.

  • I really want to try the Miss Manga mascara! I’ve seen a few stellar reviews lately.

Go for it! I’m a firm believe in drugstore mascaras, why spend a lot when you can spend a little (and have money left over for lux bits)? I also like the new Maybelline Lash Sensational/

  • I adore anything Laura Mercier, so can’t wait to try this new update for myself!

If you try it out – and you’ve had the old would you do a comparison? I’m curious about how they compare!

  • You must let me know what you think of the Radical Screen – good choice!
