Top 10 Skincare Products

Top 10 Skincare ProductsRounding up my top 10 skincare products – you the ones that really really work and are absolutely worth it. From makeup removers, to a brightening eye cream to one very strange yet magical French Pharmacie find they’re all here.If you’ve examined the image and gone “Where’s that Oskia cleanser that Dar always bangs on about?” I simply forgot to put it in the shot, post dismantling everything I figured out what was missing. That big ‘ol white pump-bottle is a part of my routine and life from now until the end of time.

With my failures set aside let’s talk skincare!

I always start off with a bit of Bioderma it takes anything (that isn’t waterproof mascara) off with zero efforts, it’s perfect for late-late night when you cannot be truly bothered with a proper cleanse or for taking off the bulk of your makeup. The there’s that balm cleanser that’s called a gel for some reason the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel which I’ve extolled numerous times and probably will rave about in the future as well, you’ve had fair warning. A bit of toner is always a good idea and the La Roche Posay Serozinc is by far my favourite of the bunch, short and simple with only three ingredients it calms down skin and helps prep for other skincare steps. I love Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis (I’ve written about it already) and the Hydrating Booster #1 is the star of the bunch for me, hyaluronic acid is a skincare superstar and this is the best formula I’ve tried. Then there’s Oil, I’m a firm lover of oils being cursed with dehydrated skin. I truly enjoy the MV Organics Rose + Booster it’s a super concentrated oil that really packs a punch even if the price tag is eye wateringly high it’s 100% worth it. Just recently I got my hands on the Pai BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil and upon first try went WOAH with a prompt head banging on the wall asking myself why I hadn’t gotten it earlier. This is a super nourishing oil for a line geared towards sensitive skins and so far I’ve been loving it patted on post cleanse/serum or mixed in with a light moisturiser for an extra kick. Eye cream is a bit of a meh product for me – the only one I’ve ever really loved is the CliniqueAll about the Eyes but the the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream came into my life with it’s caffeine fuelled power. In terms of masks the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask is a lifesaver and the REN 1 Minute Flash Facial is both super fast and really brightens the skin while reducing some of the scarring pigmentation. Lastly, my magical french pharmacie find Biafine it’s a cream for abrasions on the skin like burns, cuts and so on but works it’s calming magic on the face both as a day cream or an extra calming mask.

      It’s such a good mask – it’s an in-flight staple for me!

Thanks for leaving a comment XO.

  • I wish we had Serozinc available in the US :/ We finally got Bioderma so that’s a good start and I already own two bottles and love it 🙂

I adore Bioderma – I wouldn’t use it as my only cleanser but for lazy days it’s a saviour! I love the fact that it doesn’t irritate my contacts either unlike biphase make up removers.
I know it’s impossible to get Serozinc in the US but you should check out the Caudlie Grape Water – it’s not the same but the spray is so so fine and it smells amazing.

      • I have the Grape Water and love it 🙂 also their Beauty Elixir is awesome!

        • Dar

Oh! I’m surprised most people know about the Elixir but not the Grape Water. I also really liked the Jurlique Rose Mist! Maybe try that one?

          • Nope I haven’t tried that. I’ll look it up, thanks 🙂

  • i haven’t tried any of these brands but i really want to try origins and bioderma!
