All About: Therapie Himalayan Bath Salts

DSC_4634It’s been a fairly stressful week – if me missing my blog scheduling didn’t indicate that, it’s nearing the end of my final year in Uni and project/papers/presentations galore are up a head for the next couple of weeks. My solution for a stress-fix? A cuppa tea, some fresh summer fruit and a good ol’ soak feat these magical magical salts. When I get stressed, not anxious I’ll touch on anxiety some other time, I grind my teeth at night – this leads to more stress because of the headache I get from the grindin’ of the none fun sort. It’s a bit of a science to knowing when you’re stressed and how to chill out; I’m a firm believer in thinking things through and calming down from the head down. So a long bath with a spot of tea is exactly the time to relax the body and sort out the mind.
The Roques Oneil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts are kind of magical, put a handle onto a hot tub, spend a good 15 minutes in there and then pop into bed. You’ll be fast asleep within minutes, just don’t touch your phone or any electronic device, and the next day you’ll wake up after the best sleep you’ve had in a while. I’m not sure if it’s just the salts, but they probably so play a part, or if it’s the entire ritual of soaking for a bit and steaming yourself while disconnecting from everything that makes it work.

Perhaps it’s a combination of the two? Regardless I always make sure to have some of these on hand because stress is something I’d rather have a fix for. I buy these off of CultBeauty you can get the Jar with 400 grams or a refill bag with 500 grams, it’s a bit pricey yes but for me it’s worth every penny.

  • You can’t get better than Himalayan salts can you? I think they make the water softer than epsom salts. I buy mine from Ocado for about a fiver though, because I’m a cheapskate :’)!

I haven’t thought about trying out some from the health food store – I simply tried these on a whim and fell in love. I’ll check out what’s on hand at the shop maybe I’ll be saving a few pennies too!
      Thanks for the comment XO.

These are lovely, I recommend picking them up when CultBeauty has an offer going so you can save a little on them as they are pricey – but sooooo worth it!

  • Recently I’ve been getting in to bath oils, bath bombs and now bath salts 🙂 I try to take a bath at least once a week so I get to relax and just de-stress cause otherwise for every day it’s a quick shower for me 🙂

I love a good bath oil – the Aromatherapy Associates ones are lovely, bath bombs not so much it feels like such a waste you know? Lush do some lovely ones though.
Love your comments – always make me smile!
