I did a quick review of the Chantecaille Just Skin a little while back when I first got it, but recently I’ve been opting for a lighter base and it’s been my go to. It’s probably the result of better skin, reaching for formulas that have less coverage and maintenance. I won’t say my skin is perfect, it’s far from, but with only a few residual scars it’s easy to feel comfortable outside with a sheer base and some spot concealing. It’s a bit strange to go for the lighter bases when the weather cools down but what can I say? I’m a rebel at my base har har .So yes, the just skin offer little to no coverage with a lot of moisture – you can check out my original review here. There’s SPF 15 but I like it separate so my all time love from Radical Skincare, and a go for that extra boost of glow from Charlotte Tilbury’s Glow Wonder. For I’m back to loving the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer with a dash of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer mixed in, high maintenance you know.
It’s usually a pretty low key look, as for a full on lip or eyes coverage is kinda needed other wise things look too bare.
But for daily living? Dashing out to the store, the vet or to the post office this is perfect. Throw on some tinted lip balm or a reactive one, a sheer lipstick or a gloss and it’s all good. No need for contour just a bit of bronzer and blush for dimension. I’ve truly come to realise that there’s no need for a flawless complexion 100% of the time, and that it should be more about enhancing what I like and hiding what I don’t without making me have to check the mirror every 10 seconds.
Let’s all try to embrace that we’re human okay?
