Quick Review: Jo Malone Bath Oil

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Bath OilI’m a sucker for a bath. I know that some prefer long, luxurious showers but me? I’m a sit in the tub, drink a cup of tea and read a book kinda gal. There’s all sort of bath additives to alleviate your experience  from bath bombs to bubbles to salt there’s something for everyone. I recently decided to indulge in the ultimate bath luxury – a Jo Malone Bath Oil in a gorgeous glass decanter. Let me tell you all about it.

These come in multiple sizes, with a little mini one of 30ml in a glass decanter as well as this big one with 200ml. If you’d like more bang for your buck the 250ml comes in a plastic bottle but is cheaper than the 200ml glass version. I went for Pomegranate Noir which is one of my favourite Jo Malone fragrances, it’s fruity but not too sweet and it’s got a little bit of that sexy man scent to it.

Some of my favourite bath oils are made by Aromatherapy Associates and those scent up the room with just a few drops. The Jo Malone Bath Oil isn’t outshine by those; just a few drops into a steaming tub and the whole room smells like Pomegranate Noir. The scent lingers in the room for a while after which makes my post bath body moisturising session a joy.

I’ll admit that these glass bottles really sold me on it – they are beautiful to have in your bathroom. The oil is a true treat for me, I love that it doesn’t leave a gross residue on the tub or feel heavy on my skin. The scent does cling to your skin but it’s not overwhelming at all – and like all Jo Malone fragrances it layers beautifully with other scents.

That’s pretty much all I can think of to tell you about this oil. It’s a true experience and I highly recommend it if you’re in the mood to treat yourself or someone you love.
