I’m an avid reader of blogs, as much as I love sites like intothegloss.com or allure.com nothing beats reading a “real” blog. So as I was browsing my Bloglovin’ feed – by the way if you aren’t following me over there click here, I found a post by Beti of MakeupSessions. The post was the Beauty Lover tag, and after reading her answers I knew I had to do the tag as well.
In case videos aren’t your cup of tea (or you’ve no tea to drink with the video) here are my answers to the questions in a short concise format:
If you could have anyone in the world do your makeup, who would it be?
Monika Blunder, she does Emilia Clarke’s makeup and I think I’d learn a lot from her.
What’s your top makeup tip?
Have fun with it! There’s no rules in makeup.
What one makeup item could you not live without?
Concealer and Eyebrow gel. Mostly concealer. It’s the stuff life is made of.
What one skincare item could you not live without?
Ugh, just one? Oils then. But I believe in moisture, exfoliation and SPF! I wouldn’t skip any of those ever.
What are you worst at when it comes to applying makeup?
False lashes! I just can’t get the hang of them, maybe it’s my eye shape? They don’t work on me.
What’s your biggest pet peeve when it comes to beauty?
Taking things too seriously. Just have fun, do what’s right for you.
What’s your favorite makeup era?
I don’t have a favourite era that resonates with me so much as a vibe or look – that’s the clean runway beauty with a punch of bold via the lips or brows. So 2016 Runway?
What’s your guilty pleasure product?
Like Beti I have to go for Lipsticks! My favourite (if you missed the name of my blog).
What’s your underdog product?
Radical Skincare’s Skin Perfecting tint – it’s a physical SPF without the greasy, heavy feel and it’s a glow boosting primer too. Perfection.
What’s your favorite makeup product of 2015?
One very difficult question… I’d have to pick Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipsticks. I got engaged whilst wearing one, and the formula is phenomenal and shade range is great.
Thank you so much to Beti for introducing me to the tag – if you’d like to partake in this too, go a head and don’t forget to tag me if you do!
