For the longest time I wished I had a bathroom cabinet, a mirrored one. When we moved and remodelled the place – my wish came true. Now that I’ve got my dream cabinet, mirrors and everything, all stocked up I thought I’d share with you what’s on rotation and what logic it follows.I’ll take it from the top, the top most shelf that is. It’s cut out of frame in the photo but that’s because I store most of my bath-tub related items there and that’s a whole different post in itself. You might spot the beauty blender solid cleanser there, as it’s got nowhere else to be and a Glossier balm dot com coconut backup too. I’d say it’s the bath + misc. section.
Next down it Mask-utopia and toner land. From the left there’s the Minasoo eye patches, some contact lenses, my more purifying masks in tubes like the Origins Rose Clay and the Aesop Parsley Seed Mask. Then there’s the tower of doom – a precariously balanced stack of masks in jars; the Glossier Green Galaxy Pack, The Moisturising Moon Mask, Oskia’s Renaissance Mask and my new love the COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight something something (it’s got a long long name). There’s the last bits of my Origins Overnight Mask and some Liz Earl Cleanse & Polish that I’m saving up. Then there’s the toners; The Body Shop’s Vitamin C & Jurlique’s Balancing Rosewater for morning, Caudelie’s Beauty Elixir for night. My Bioderma and Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover are on the right, with some Muji cotton pads stacked on top.
The last shelf is where the action is at! There’s cleansers, serums, oils, creams , balms and exfoliators. The real daily essentials are all here, I try to keep samples and travel sizes that need to be loved at the front so I’ll finish them off. For cleaners there’s Glossier’s Milky Jelly and the Oskia Renaissance Gel, for a nice massage there’s the Eve Lom balm too. A variety of samples, like the Laura Mercier Scrub or the Glam Glow Mud to Foam – neither of which I like very much. For exfoliators there’s the NUDE Fizzy powder (amazing) and the REN 1 Minute Facial (mini), oh and the Aurlia enzyme scrub which I’m loving. Daytime serums/oils/creams are on the left with everything from Kypris’ Blemish Serum to Hylamide to MV Organics Jojoba oil. My current two day creams are the Bioderma Hydrabio and Glossier’s Priming Moisturiser. Eye creams are a sample extravaganza with Origins Ginzing (an old fav) and an offering from REN. For night there’s Sunday Riley’s Luna and MV Organics Rose + booster, a night cream I got from a cult beauty goodie bag and Origins Night-a-Mins which I prefer in summer. On the very right I’ve got my trusty P50 lotion, a diptyque jar with some earbuds and my jade roller.
Last is my balms – good for the lips but also for wherever dryness strikes! There’s the ByTerry Baum de Rose, Glossier’s Balm Dot Com and a mini tube of YuBe.
That’s my cabinet in a nutshell – there’s another 3 shelves with the boys stuff, my backups and some hair bits but that seems excessive. What do you keep in you bathroom? I’m on the market for a new face oil…
