A little while back I was very lucky and got my hands on this little double ended pen of pure magic. All of us know that no eyeliner is created equal, some of us may be skilled enough to make any of them work but… An amazing eyeliner is always welcome. The Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen? The best of the best.
I first got the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen around my birthday and for a little while there I wasn’t reaching for it. Frankly I do find lining my eyes every day a bit bothersome, I’m a bit more of a one-wash wonder on the lid and a smudge of kohl kinda girl. However when I am in the mood I reach for this one, it’s got a dual ended design that’s perfectly weighted for maximum percision.
On one end we’ve got a teeny tiny nib that’s perfect for geting a super sharp flick in or for doting along the lash line. On the other end there’s a brush tip, similar to the Kat von D Tattoo liner, that has the perfect length for painting a line across your lid. The formula is super black, blacker than the Kat von D, but needs a moment to dry. I’ve got quite hooded lids so if I’m not careful transfer can be an issue – and when this dries? It doesn’t budge.
Is it worth the hype? YES! I have a backup of the Kat von D that I’m not even thinking about due to this puppy. I don’t want to think about what I’ll do when I run out as it’s always sold out in Duty Free and there’s no way I’d pay full price for it. Until such a dark and aweful time befalls me, I’ll be here using this magnificent thing.
