I’ve a penchant for glow. Glowing primers, glowing foundations, glow, glow, glow. The Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base has been on my radar for quite some time, and when the opportunity struck so did I. And so it became a part of my collection, I’ve been using this for quite some time and let me tell you about it.First of all let’s touch on Burberry makeup. It’s a fairly natural line, with a clear “natural but grungy” cool-girl vibe. It’s a range after my own heart, with some very glorious powder formulations and a great shade range. It’s not a full-coverage, crazy eye colours kind of line at all and even the lipsticks are very tame with a few bold red and pinks thrown in but nothing way out there.
Back to the Fresh Glow, I’ve got the light shade named Nude Radiance, which does as it’s name suggests – makes you glow. It’s not a long lasting, waterproofing, pore smoothing primer the only thing it will do is make you glow. It’s a light and delicate glow too, the kind you get from a good sleep or a holiday. It’s super sheer, not too hydrating or slippy and simply comforts the skin a little before you go in with your base of choice. If you’ve got a great complexion or are having a good skin day then you can go for just this smoothed over the face.
I’ve got a fond place in my heart for the packaging. It’s very sleek yet luxurious, the bottle isn’t glass which means it does weigh a tonne but still has nice heft. There’s the signature Burberry check on the metallic cap and best of all? A pump. The pump dispenses just enough product for a normal person to use on the areas of the face they’d like to glow. I’m not normal and need 2 pumps to slather my face in the stuff ’cause I want to glow.
I got started with this stuff via a Sephora sample and now that I’ve got it? It’s a love affair.
