Top Five Product from Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury ReviewEarlier this week I was super happy to discover that one of my favorite online stores, Cult Beauty, has started stocking one of my favorite makeup lines – Charlotte Tilbury! It’s no secret that I enjoy the range’s products from formula to packaging I think it’s in general a pretty solid line. So why here are the five products I can whole heartedly recommend (and an honorable mention).

Filmstar Bronze & Glow

It’s not my first product from the range but it’s one of the best for sure. If you’ve ever struggled with contouring and highlighting this is one to try. Super silky powders that are build able but never too intense, and can always be blended out withe ease. The bronze or contour shade is a little warm but quite neutral so you can both contour and bronze depending on placement. The highlight is a golden champagne that can be subtle or blinding, even if I like my highlight a bit more cool toned these days. This is all brought together in a beautiful compact with a great mirror that’s sure to make you feel like a silver screen siren.

Powder & Sculpt Brush

So good I bought it twice. No really I own two of these and would happily add a third and forth. This brush isn’t the softest on the market, but to pick up powder you need to grit. Size wise it is the perfect size to place powder under the eyes, along the nose and around it without kicking up a fuss. For contouring and highlighting the tapered shape is great and with a bit more pressure you can blend nice and easy. Can you tell I love this brush?

Light Wonder Foundation

The base to end all bases, at least for me. Now days I’m not one for coverage or velvety textures on the skin, give me a dewy glossy finish that’s light and skin like any day. This is one of the only foundations that looks like skin on me. I take the shade 2 and it’s got enough pigment to blur and even but not enough to cover that monthly visitor or my ultra red cheeks.  It sticks around for bout 5-6 hours without any powders or touching up but when it does fade it’s done elegantly. No strange patches or clinging just an evenly faded out foundation which I can live with. Best suited for dehydrated, dry skins without too many issues to cover (or a willingness to spot conceal all them friends).

Pencil Sharpener

It may sound silly but this one is worth the investment! It’s got both the standard small size and the larger size for those chubby pencils like the NARS ones. I always get a nice point with it and it’s never butchered my pencils like some other sharpeners do.

Rock’n’Kohl Pencil

I’ve currently got three of these and cannot wait to pick up more. Quite possible the best pencil formula I’ve tried, these are smooth to apply and set within a minute. Long wearing with minimal smudging or migration but not a hassle to remove it’s all a girl can ask for. I love the shade Barbarella Brown for everyday definition that’s not too intense and Elizabeth Violet for a pop of color.

An honorable mention…

The Lip Cheat lip pencil in Pillow Talk needs no introduction, it’s the perfect pinky nude that makes lips look fuller and lipsticks last longer.

What’s next on my list?

I’m looking at investing in the Magic Cream, I’ve had a sample and enjoyed it also packaging is gorgeous. The new Hot Lips collection has some interesting shades but I need to have a switching session to decide on which one to pick up (Secret Selma, Very Victoria and Super Cindy are on my radar). I’ve heard rave reviews about the Legendary Lashes mascara but also heard that it smudges like crazy. Last of all when it gets warmer I’ll be picking up the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder for some unwanted shine banishing.
