Top 10 Picks from Cult Beauty (Winter 2016 Goody Bag)

Cult Beauty Winter 2016Helllllo! I’m back after a quick jaunt over to NYC and the subsequent head cold I got there. It was great and woefully, the very week I came back Cult Beauty announced their Winter 2016 goody bag. I simply couldn’t resist it and so an order was made! I thought I’d compile products that I love from the site in case you are unsure about what to get from what may be the best beauty site EVER.

MV Organics Rose + Booster

I’m currently on my 3rd (I think) bottle of the stuff and this is glorious. It’s expensive and there isn’t a lot in the bottle but you don’t need much anyway, 2 drops is more than enough for a whole face. This oil is jam packed with the amazing goodness that are roses. There’s several types in there and it’s suitable for sensitive skins – no reactions in sight! For me it calms down redness and anything hormonal related all while imparting a serious dewy glow. 10/10 would buy again and whole heartedly recommend it.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

Osaka Renaissance Cleansing Gel
The one cleanser to rule them all – no joke. Gets of grime and dirt while moisturizing and being luxurious to apply, smells like turkish delights to me. Pump bottle, balmy formula, pretty packaging. I’ve repurchased this one several times and it always comes up on top especially in the colder months where a lighter cleanser isn’t quite rich enough.

Aurelia Refine & Polish Miracle Balm

I was introduced to this via a Cult Beauty goody bag and then bought the full thing. This is yet another one of those exfoliators thats got both acids and physical exfoliants in it. You can use this as a scrub of a mask, I always use this as a mask and see instant results. Within a few minutes my skin is brighter, smoother and softer. It’s cool to use 1-2 times a week, smells great and doesn’t sting too badly – just a bit of warming to the skin really. It’s my current favorite exfoliator and the pink tube doesn’t hurt.

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Mask

I’ve gone thru two tubes of this and itching to buy my third. It’s one of the gentlest test cleansing masks I’ve had the pleasure to try, it makes you feel like your skin has been purified without leaving it super stripped. Aesop is a wonderful brand with simple, apothecary still packaging so this one will look great hanging out in your cupboard too. Those Shelfie shots are important too!

Therapy Himalayan Detox Bath Salts

O-M-G these bath salts. I’m an avid bath taker, it’s my moment of Zen in the week really. If you too are a stressed out person who sometimes has trouble going offline (and to sleep) then these are for you. I’ve found that my best night’s sleep occurs when I’ve used these. You simply run a bath, sprinkle a handful in, breath in the amazing scent and chill in the tub for 15 minutes. Pat yourself dry, try to stay awake and fail miserably. Sleep for a solid 8 hours of the deepest sleep of your life.

W3LL PEOPLE Bio Brightener Invisible Powder

I’ve actually never purchased the full size because I’ve received two very generous samples in goody bags. This is like the Laura Mercier powder but better, it’s less cakey and more sheer. There’s some glitter bits that you can see in the pot but you can’t see them on the skin. This powder is great for setting the under eyes with a damp sponge or dusted all over the face with a fluffy brush. You’ll be left with a slightly set complexion that isn’t flat.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar

Possibly the best eyeshadow sticks on the market with an eyewaterinw price – that the eyeshadow will withstand. I own Misty Rock, Ombre Mercure and Brown Perfection and love them all, these are packed with multi-dimensional glitter. You can layer them for impact or blend out with your finger for a sheer wash that gives a little definition but nothing over the top. Chuck in your purse for wearing your look for going out or leave out on a desk for pretty gold packaging.

Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Duo in Candlelight/Sculpt

A tiny compact that will help you shape your face on bloated days or any day. The formula of these is amazing, super creamy and light but with enough pigment to do the job. A dab in the tiny pan is more than enough to help you sculpt the cheeks or get some glow. Works great with foundation or without all in all an amazing product that’s a total must have.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘n’ Kohl

The ultimate eyeliner if you ask me. The brown is perfect for an understated day time eye you can do a flick or smudge it out for a smokey look. This formula has some play time but then it sets like no other – it simply doesn’t budge for a good 7 hours.  Nothing more to say.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatic Hand Balm

Ahhhhh this hand cream. It smells amazing, like a cloud of scent that just envelops you when you apply it. As for the moisturizing part – it does the job well with no greasy residue. It’s a hand cream so there really isn’t much more to elaborate on… I can say that you only need a bit of it to do the job and it’s lasted me a verrrrry long time.

On the goody bag:

Cult Beauty do these amazing goody bags a few times a year, it’s always jam packed with amazing products both samples and full size. This time its extra amazing – you get a full size serum, a by terry lip balm and so much more. It’s automatically added to your bag when you make a purchase of over 150 pounds.

I can’t wait to receive mine!
